Fear is a subjective thing.  What scares us the most?  It isn't always a ghost in the attic or an alien encounter, although these stories are welcome too.  For some, terror finds its way into our lives in the form of a sleeping bag encounter with a snake, a poisonous spider hiding in a shoe,  or getting trapped in a 10th floor elevator.  But for others, the most terrifying moments may have been the 8 minutes when a three year old went missing in a department store, bearing witness to a street shooting, or a car accident that could have changed everything. 

We all have a story about a terrifying moment that sculpted the way we see the world, whether on a small or grand scale.  Sometimes we can learn from these experiences, and other times they just rest in the back of our minds as a constant, tingling reminder that anything can happen at any minute.
