GIVE FEEDBACK
god I have had a few of those experiences I would love to write something real soon
As much as I would like to contribute a gripping story about coming back from the afterlife ~ I have never even had stitches. But I will keep my eyes and ears open for something interesting to add to the mix.

Sorry, the closest I've come has been puking up beer at a frat party and, more recently, asking God to bring me down from a bad shroom trip that just gave me anxiety. In neither did I experience the great beyond.
Oh, yeah. Just for the record ... mosquitoes don't go to heaven and don't see the light. Headlights, windshield, nada.
Patience!
I have to dig up some old notes from an online friend, who died more times from one bad accident than most people would think possible!
He went from "look at me, I'm a doctor" to Doctors without Borders.

nrhatch,
Yes, years ago I had read the same book.
She was sort of corny tho, I seen her on, perhaps Oprah in the 80's?
The book was better than seeing her tell it.
If anyone here has had no experience with this phenomenon, you could post your belief on the subject one way or the other.
Thanks all for your participation!

I had a near death experience when I was 13. I inhaled smoke and stopped breathing for 30 minutes. My heart stopped for five. The weird thing is that I saw the whole thing happening. It's like I was outside myself. I saw the doctors working on me and my mother was there crying. I heard the monitor buzzing long and loud. Then I saw my grandfather who died when I was six. She simply said "Go back." The next thing I knew I was waking up in the hospital. That's about it. At first I thought it was a dream, until my mother told me years later that my grandmother came to her and told her I would be alright. It's weird, I know, but it happened.
A book that addresses this:
Embraced by the Light. The author died in the hospital, saw people trying to revive her, went to heaven, loved it, didn't want to leave, was shown that her purpose for being born had not yet been accomplished, she agreed to go back, etc.
Once she returned to her life, she had to start searching for her purpose (the one that had been revealed to her in heaven) because she remembered most of her experience there, but that part of the memory had been wiped clean.
"Our purpose is to discover our purpose, and then pursue it with passion."

this is an interesting project. have you heard of the lakeland revival? 25 people were resurrected!!
I don't know if this would really count, but my mom was in a car accident eight years ago, and she nearly died. She lost most of her blood and got a busted lung and...well, anyway, would that necessarily count? Because otherwise I really don't have any first-hand experience in the matter...
