.  Looking down at it, I realized the shirt belonged to Sebastian.  I slumped down into the chair that was at the corner of my room and began to run a brush through my hair, not caring that it was yanking knots out cruelly.  I was wincing, when I heard my door open softly.

                “That looks like it hurts,” his voice said.

                I remained looking down but smiled. “It does hurt,” I said.

                He stepped closer. “Then you should stop doing it, no?”

                “Probably,” I agreed and set the brush down.

                Sebastian held out his arms. “Come here. I hardly saw you today.”

                I shuffled over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist, placing my head on the left side of his chest.  “I know, if you didn’t just win a record deal, I’d say today sucked.”

                I couldn’t see his face from where I was, but I didn’t want to move.  His arms always provided a kind of comfort no one else’s could.  “Me too,” he said softly.  He pulled away, which forced me to look at his face. “Did you like my new song?”

                I could feel the blood rush up into my cheeks like it was a floodgate that had just been opened. “I-I-“ I stammered, trying desperately to gain control of my thoughts, of my tongue. “It was the best song I’ve ever heard,” I finally managed.
