Darkness Overwhelming

Lessons in life learned through the evil we may encounter in our life. An ongoing struggle to see past the unforseen and exist beyond our existence.

This collection of poems is intended to strike fear and discomfort into it's victims, leaving them with a hair-raising sensation. The words convey a place so dark none can imagine until they begin to read and enter the darkness. The reader will see the world through the eyes of the victims in the poems.

There’s very good work in this project. Dark has lyrical talent and a real feel for the Decadent Late Romantic material he writes. While he doesn’t depart from this here, he is not repetitious but uses a number of structural forms and subtleties that give an added intelligent dimension to his work. If Dark isn’t already familiar with him, I would recommend he become familiar with ‘Nostalgia for Death & Hieroglyphs of Desire’ by the Mexican poet Xavier Villaurrutia. As a poet he is growing well.
