Dirty Old Town!
Most people who have traveled to Ireland have visited Dublin. Those who have, leave with a certain impression of the city. Tell the WEbook community what yours was in the form of a short story or poem. Even if you've never been there make it up, because it probably happened anyway.
New York is the city that never sleeps. Dublin is the city that's never sober.

Amen!!
Not to the 'Dublin is never sober' bit but to the 'NYC never sleeps' bit.

That is so true and I will be offering my 2 cents soon. I have both travelled around Ireland spending 10 days there in '06 and then living in Dublin for 6 mos this year. I have a story or two to share. Great idea!
Make mine a Guiness with a Jameson chaser!
I met my love,
by the gas works wall.
I dreamed a dream,
by the old canal.
I kissed my girl,
and forgot the line....(sorry)

Well, my hometown has a population of a few hundred people and the potential for stories is just as rich and varied. I think you should look into it. You're right though. I'd like to go to Dublin someday.
I love Dublin so much I'm moving there in a few weeks. Great book idea. I have a few stories I could write for ya.
My friends are in this movie-
3 Days in Dublin: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460960/
Have to get them to write for ya. hehe

Have friends who live over there- lovely gay boys- they love their town. Dublin is on the up & up- as a stylish, hip city to be in.
i think i am going to have to pass on this one..i have never been to Ireland let alone Dublin and don't have the faintest idea on what it is like..actually i didn't even know it was a city in Ireland..my bad
Have to pass on this one. All I know of Dublin and Ireland is one politically incorrect (like I care!) joke about a seven-course meal, and that while the natives speak English, I can understand Scots but not the Irish.
I'd try to stretch my imagination this far, but like a 58-year-old elastic, it's best left to crumble in place.

NOW THIS COULD BE A REAL CHALLENGE JAMES!!!! BUT YOU KNOW ME.....I CAN'T HELP BUT GET EXCITED WHEN I'M CHALLENGED, NOW WHERE DID YOU SAY THIS PLACE WAS...HAHAHA
This would give me a perfect excuse to fly to Dublin for "research"...except they don't let pregnant girls fly. Jerks.
*sigh* And me without a yacht. Or any money to buy a yacht.
