exquisite corpse is the name of a method of writing originated in the 1920s by French surrealists.

kerouac's "pull my daisy" is a famous example--he, cassady, and ginsberg alternated lines and wrote a poem out of the collected lines, each only able to see the line before theirs--like this project except they agreed on a skeleton of format:

'Pull my daisy
tip my cup
all my doors are open
Cut my thoughts
for coconuts
all my eggs are broken
Jack my Arden
gate my shades
woe my road is spoken
Silk my garden
rose my days
now my prayers awaken'

and repeat.

I'm sorry, but isn't the title "Exquisite Corpse" a bit of copyright infringement? While that (literary) journal has not been active for the last couple of years, they were quite productive during their time.

If you aren't aware of the journal, you should google it. If you are aware of it, you should change the title of this project (unless this is somehow associated with the journal). Otherwise, you're pushing your luck here--along with that of the webook community.
