OVERVIEW
The 50 words challenges started on a bit of a whim and has become a highly popular, interesting and motivating task.
CURRENT CHALLENGE: Must Include - write about something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, but it CANNOT be about weddings/anniversaries. in EXACTLY 50 WORDS
BIG THANKS to MsDemeanor for this clever and intriguing idea!
- Expecting lots of comic pieces and hoping our seasoned submitters will also produce other genres including romance, horror and mystery.
(don’t forget to mark subs to this challenge with ….
your title – 10th challenge…..)
REMEMBER – do not trust webook’s word count!!! Please manually count your words. Also if you change a sub to meet criteria I suggest you message the reviewer that pointed out the issues so they can up their rating for your efforts
PREVIOUS CHALLENGES: (Now closed)
THE 4th Challenge is : In exactly 50 words - a long kept lie is uncovered or revealed and the consequenses/ reactions to the truth. Thanks to MsDemeanor for this topic!!!!
5th Challenge- An unexpected catch while out fishing. Thanks to Zygoncurry for the awesome idea
6th Challenge - A horror story that features a beloved pet
Thanks to Cindi_Green and Zephyr_Veratyl for this cool idea.
7th Challenge - A EASTER ICON AND AN EMBARRESSING INCIDENT.
Thanks to AubieGirl for the Easter idea.
8th Challenge - A GAS, A LIQUID AND A SOLID
Thanks to Mass Daddy for this awesome idea!
9th Challenge - : penultimate (second last) line must be include - " and then it hit me "
Thanks to Chuang2u - for this original idea!
IMPORTANT – Due the and overwhelming response to 50 words it has become imperative that the subs follow the criteria to the LETTER – This may go to the vote at a later date and subs that do not meet the criteria will unfortunately need to be removed. I hope you take the time to check out any prior subs and make sure they meet the criteria or bring them up to scratch. If you are unsure send me a message and I will help you out. (For example – in challenge two - A journey/adventure that begins with picking up a penny – of course in exactly 50 words* - many of the ‘pennies’ were not ‘picked up’ – not meaning to nitpick here but many have stuck strictly to the criteria making it only fair to put those limits on all submitters and hopefully produce the best possible project for the vote.) Please consider this when you are providing feedback to others also!
REMEMBER – do not trust webook’s word count!!! Please manually count your words. Also if you change a sub to meet criteria I suggest you message the reviewer that pointed out the issues so they can up their rating for your efforts
THE FIRST & SECOND PROJECTS is temporarily closed to submissions– I will open this back up later for last chance submissions - for now I would like everyone to focus on PROJECT 3:
