GROUND ZERO: SUBPRIME MORTGAGE MELTDOWN is the first book to examine the subprime mortgage crisis as told by a loan officer at one of the then largest subprime lenders in America. The book will be divided into three parts. The first part will include some brief background of the loan officer and his initial interview with the company as well as his company training. The second part will consist of the day to day operations of the mortgage company as well as specific loan instances and procedures. The loan officer’s transition from being an average citizen knowing nothing about the mortgage business to a seasoned veteran will also be covered in this section. The third part will detail the class action lawsuit brought against the company and the demise of the company itself.
