Mitchell DeLeon was a simple hunter from the Woodland Province.  Although he had fallen on lean times, he was content with life.  Everything changed, however, when a letter from his King arrived, asking him to go on a dangerous journey in search of a fabled and ancient creature known only as the "God of the Earth".  With the promise of great wealth and position, he accepts the task, never realizing the quest with take him to places and lengths he would never have imagined.
