After losing her husband and only child in a car accident, Teresa slips into a dream... Legolas finds a mysterious woman on the way to Rivendell and discovers she has no memory of who she is, or how she got there. Is it real or all just a dream?

This is my very first, complete novel length fan story. I suppose some might call it a mary sue since it was inspired by a question my husband asked me, I'm sure you know the one; "What would you do if I died." Well, this story, in a way, was an answer to his question, if only in the sense of likely ended up in a mental hospital over grief and wanting to get away from everything that reminded me of him to start a new life. Everything else is purely fictional.

NOTE: There may be some names or references to the Lord of the Rings characters that may be unfamiliar - this is because when I approached Tolkien Estates with this story, I didn't properly understand what they meant about changing the story, and changed the names of characters and places as well as some things, these changes were based upon Tolkien's own works using the Elvish dictionaries of the Grey Company. When I resubmitted the story to Tolkien Estates in the changed format, they were very polite and explained that the changes in names weren't enough to allow for publication, so I changed it back to a fan fic, restoring the names given by Tolkien, but I may or may not have gotten them all. If not, I apologise and hope that you will over look this slight on my part and continue to enjoy the story regardless.  Less
