     Along the way, he meets a really special girl that makes him feel better than ever. When he screws up and things go wrong its tough for them to stay friends, but it also makes him question if his new friends really like him or only do because of his pitching.      Along the way, he meets a really special girl that makes him feel better than ever. When he screws up and things go wrong its tough for them to stay friends, but it also makes him question if his new friends really like him or only do because of his pitching. He continues to hide his questioning side and acts like nothing is wrong. People's true colors show though when he blows out his pitching elbow and can't throw for a few games in his sophomore year . And when he comes back, he struggles. Only a few stay by his side. He has to try to push through the rest of the season, and the next 3 seasons along with high school and summers with only a little help from his friends, or his real ones anyway.  Less
