Literary Criticism and Theory
This is an exploration into some of the issues of writing or reviewing literature. It can include structarilism, poststructuralism, modernism or any other type of ...ism. It can range from academic to homespun.
Really, if you have some ideas about the current state of literature, the future of literature or any other ideas concerned with literature this is the place to discuss them.
Meta-literature, I suppose.

This is a very helpful article to a humble, wannabe poet like me.
I had heard of layers in poetry but had no idea really what they were all about. Now, thanks to this article, I do. This has been excellent for me. Thanks, Satyr.

I started to try to help people who are just starting with interactive, mutlimedia arts/literature and hoped for some interesting articles from people mwho have been experimenting in this area.

Meta Literature. HMM. I like it. One thing that has struck me lately is the move to tech - friendly viewing formats. I forsee that in the future, the only books that might be available in a paper format will be books that offer viewing pleasure as well as some sort of stimulating reading experience. I.E. the graphic novel. You know, of course, that Dickens was a popular writer as were many other Canonized authors lining the fabled halls of literature. It leaves the door open then to discuss popular culture and the rise of a new popular literature. I might write something about it. Might be interesting to compare Dickens and Conan Doyle to Nick Bantock and then take it a step further to Alan Moore. ( I was just thinking this the other day because I bought an ap for my iphone that downloaded 150 classics in about 30 seconds. It scrolls, it puts it in 24 point font and I think eventually everybody will have this handy tool. What books would I still buy?) Beautiful books.
