Living in the Chaos of Madness
I have lived with mental illness all of my life and I have found it to be an altogether too hidden topic. I am collecting stories, poems, articles, anything relating to a person and their mental illness. I am specifically looking for creative people, writers, artists, musicians, etc whose lives and works have been affected by their mental illness, both in positive and negative ways.
GIVE FEEDBACK
Being bipolar is magic,
it turns friends into strangers,
To them you're just as real,
as that baby in the manger.
Even though nothing's different,
they think you like you are contagious.
And every word that comes out of your mouth,
to them it sounds outragious.
So be exra careful,
whom you tell the truth to,
Because if you tell everyone,
the only one left will be you.

I am writing my story in short bursts, with hopes to put it all together coherently someday. I still find parts of my life and memories difficult to face and putting them in words is sometimes extremely painful. To avoid confusion, I will try to keep the biographical entries together and separate from the poetry and other people's entries. Sorry if it's a bit confusing!!
