After 3 months of intense e-mails and phone calls that lasted for hours on end and several times a week ,he was getting ready to leave town which meant our 1st separation. Several hours after i thought he was gone I got this text...all it said was " I Love you" I would have kept that text forever as I knew I would never "hear" the words. He could only be to me who he was...words on a screen.

Most people date the Internet back only to the dawn of the World Wide Web in the early '90's; it's much older.

They also think computers started in 1981 when the IBM PC came out. IBM was actually a latecomer on the scene.

Those of us aged between late 50's and dead know about about 35 more years of computing, on huge room-sized machines dumber than today's iPods.

No text for me. This business of fancy phones is not my thing.
leave it for those who cannot resist anything new. To me, a phone is what I have on a table in my apartment. I don't talk on a phone when i'm driving. The bottom line is I'm not a sucker for something new just because everyone else has one.--Doug
