My Journey has been one full of pain, sorrow, missery and tears. Entangled in a web of drugs, Alcohol sex and lies. Rehab after rehab, Church after church, jail after jail, and last but not least,........ "Prison" . These are a few of my poems I would like to share with the public. My poems are from my heart so as you read them you will come to know who I am. Thank You.
I am a 37yr old Blk male, residing in Ohio. I'm easy going, spontaneous and easy to get along with which hasn't always been this way. I am a 37yr old Blk male, residing in Ohio. I'm easy going, spontaneous and easy to get along with which hasn't always been this way. I love things such as hiking, camping, fishing, and talking to individuals that enjoy life and the problems that come with it. I personally feel that the only true problems that exist in our lives are the problems existing within ourselves. Problems are only problems if we see them as such.
Besides the above, I am one which lived a life of drugs and alcohol for 17 years. I thought I'd never be normal and actually felt that I was normal. Unfortunately that was my desease thinking for me.
Now I'm done with that lifestyle and have been blessed to have the opportunity to tell the world how God changed my life. It all started when I met a gentleman by the name of Dawud. He was quite different in my eye's for the simple fact that he was a Muslim. I had only heard NEGATIVE things about MUSLIMS and ISLAM so it would be obvious that my thoughts would remain so. Fortunately, I was wrong.
Over a period of time I was introduced to a book called, "The Holy Quran" and upon reading it I could not lay it down. I studied Islam for a while researching it and cross referencing it with the book we all know called the Bible and I ended up becoming Muslim. Every since then my life has changed and I owe it all to my Creator.
In Surah (Chapter) 20:38 of the Quran God says;
"There shall be none the less most certainly come to you guidance from me (God) and those who follow my guidance need have no fear and neither shall they grieve."
I have found nothing but true guidance and peace since I have accepted Islam and become a Muslim. For those that have no idea what Islam is I urge you first to turn to your Bible and read:
St.Mark 12:28-34(The First Commandment) and Isaiah 44:6.
Afterwards go to: www.WhyIslam.org and get the facts or call 1-877-why-Islam.
God Bless and Lord willing you will enjoy my poems.
