The main character is a man, who is a newspaper writer  by profession but is disillusioned by all of it. In trying to reach out , he reverts back to something he did in college to make extra money, he worked as a clown.  Only Patokie the clown doesn't really do it for money now.  He visits a children's hospital, a special wing on Thursdays.  I want to show his attatchment to different children that don't make it.  THis is not a happy man at heart when we meet him, he's lonely, sad, frustrated with life.  I want to show his relationships with others, his career, and mostly his spiritual journey.  When one of the children that he is especially attatched to dies, this will send him lower than he's gone before.  I am unsure whether to turn this in to a  romance (ex relationship with a mother of another child, or a nurse)...I think he will be encouraged by both his boss and talking to parents to start his series on children with terminal illnesses.  Less
