On The Line
I put my heart on the line
Sending shivers up my spine
No idea what will come
Ready to greet the new sun
The sense of relief
Gives me peace
No longer will I wonder
what might come yonder
If he feels the same
my heart his his to tame
Nothing felt for me
it's his lost you see

Story Written On Cement
Begging on the street
Please give me something to eat?
Liar or truth speaker no one will ever know
For now all avoid the show
Story is heartaching, but aren’t they all?
Who will be there to help us when we fall?
Forgotten but still trying to find a way
Ignoring all the nasty things you lot say
Living nickel to dime
What was my crime?
My life is all but through
Won’t you see what your spare change will do?
Not asking for much
Hoping to get something to clutch
Your story I’m hoping not to see
written on cement like me

Jukebox Honey
Insert the coin
Watch the arm pick your record
Which will it be tonight?
Janis, Bob or Elvis
I am in need of music that inspires
No voices stuck in choirs
Who will it be tonight?
Lyle, Tom or Robert
Their music speaks of open fields
and torn hearts
Please leave me til the music starts
Who will it be tonight?
Annie, Norah or Bruce
Poets who speak of truths
Who will it be tonight?
Marley, Guthrie or Baez
Singers who wanted change
Who will it be tonight?
