Project Reality
Face the reality -- a form of prejudice exists in our society, educational system, and our government. It's not against race, gender or religion, but against sexual orientation, human rights, and gender identity. Now, it's time to be heard.
This project will consist of collaborative literary pieces ranging from poetry and prose to speeches and essays - fiction or non-fiction. An important focus will be on helping others understand that homophobia and transphobia are present in schools, the wo ... more »

GIVE FEEDBACK
IF THERE'S A MESSAGE THAT HAS TO BE TOLD, EYES THAT HAS TO BE OPEN, GO FOR IT. MY QUEST IS SIMILAR; I LIKE WHAT YOU'RE DOING. IF YOU GET A CHANCE, CHECK OUT SOME OF THE PROJECTS I'M CURRENTLY WORKING ON;
" POETIC PHILOSOPHIES", "RYHMATIC", AND, POETIC SENSE OF HUMOR". GOOD LUCK.

I love what you're doing, and it is a cause i too have been championing for some time. i have written 7 books, tho none are published, and in every one I have either a gay character, or a character that bends gender roles. it is important and crucial that I disobey stereotypes and prtray them as real. i love what you are doing, please frined me so that I can support your project. If you like sci/fi fantasy, i invite you to check out the project i currently have listed on this site. One of it's running themes is negating the idea that a body dictates an identity, and that gender is a product of socialization rather than lust, desire, or love. I would love your input. Thanks
Dear juanferus1n13,
We appreciate your feedback on Project Reality. Though we wish it was given in a more constructive and polite format, we will take what you said into consideration and make sure our description is more comprehensible, because it seems you misunderstood our messege.
The point isn't to make LGBT people look like victims but rather to incorporate the fact that we exist into everyday society. It is currently politically incorrect to discuss homosexuality in the classroom as it is seen as such a controversial issue. Our goal is to shed light on the fact it shouldn't be controversial, people are people and if heterosexual relationships can be discussed in a classroom (in educational literature, movies, ect.) then so should homosexual relationships.
It is important for our upcoming generations to understand that if someone is homosexual/transgender it is part of who they are as a person that can not be changed and they shouldn't be judged for it, just as African Americans shouldn't be judged by the color of their skin. This is only one of the many issues we wish to bring to attention and change in our society.
I thank you for your time in reading this entire messege, and hope you understand now some of what we are trying to overcome. These things do not make us victims but only increase our strength in the fight for equal rights.
Sincerely,
Season Change
