RUBY SUN: Book 1 in the Ruby Sun Series

The question of whether or not we are alone in this universe has been thrown back and forth by scientists, skeptics, and believers for centuries. What if the evidence was a family that you love? Would you do anything to protect them? Even at the expense of your own family?

Beth knows that the Sheltons are different. What she discovers is that they're from another planet, called Evelon. Before she knows it, she's more caught up with their family than an Earthling should be - becoming best friends with Lizzy, and falling in love with Robert. She must protect them and keep their secret at all costs. But it's not until an attempt is made on her life that she realizes she's not the only one aware of the Sheltons existence. It's a realization that will cost her dearly.
