So can we get other people here to contribute to our dream of words that shape a better world?
I think the ideas are pretty clear, but the spacing and formatting could be better done...
Believe; Sometimes when it seems we have nothing left just
‘Believing’ can get us through .We can believe in anything.
It is a choice we ALL have available . We can choose to Believe just as
easy as we can choose to NOT believe. When we Believe it gives us Hope.
When we choose NOT to believe we lose hope and sometimes hope is the
last thing we have to hold on to when it seems or looks like all is
lost so it's essential we keep it and hang on to what we have. This happens to many , too many if you ask me. All the suicide
attempts and suicide successes are proof. We must Believe in
other people and humanity as well as ourselves. Belief brings about change and change is usually for
the better .Faith is about trusting in the unseen. It is a close cousin to belief so I like to use the two in harmony in my everday life and even more so when the chips are down.
Let's think
about the opposite ‘word -Doubt, many people are riddled with so much doubt that it effects every aspect of their lives.
They can't see the forest for the tress, their thinking is clouded. We all have our doubts but when we doubt too much we suffer and make the wrong decisions that are not in our best interest which leave us with regret, then we have the smowball effect and are left with more problems than when we started.
I have more believe in others than they
do themselves and it saddens me to think if they only could ‘believe’ it
would motivate them to press on and in the worst
of times carry them through. My thinking is 'Why suffer if you don't have to' ? Lets look at the definition of ‘Doubt’-
Doubt, a status between belief and disbelief, involves uncertainty or
distrust or lack of sureness of an alleged fact, an action, a motive, or
a decision. Doubt brings into question some notion of a perceived
“reality”, and may involve delaying or rejecting relevant action out of
concerns for mistakes or faults or appropriateness.
When I read this it gave me the definition of 'belief' . Belief is a confidence of sorts.Just like when we get knowledge of a certain subject we can then confidently share it, when we choose to believe we gain a knowledge, a confidence. Something not only we can use but pass on to others by example. It will be giving the gift of Hope.
