The one labeled "Waking Dream" is a complete narrative, but it is not a story, per se, it is more of a journey through a dream state.

"Roman Story" is something I began, set in the period of Rome shortly before civil unrest, slave riots, and many other upheavals began. Julius Caesar would not have been much more than a glimmer on the horizon yet. It concerns a large Roman family, and is not yet complete.

"Sisters" is a story about two girls who were born, one might say, on opposite ends of a spectrum. My own sister and I were often like this, and my mother referred to us often as "Morning star, evening star." These sisters will encounter a supernatural force, one that will eventually bring them together in a way they can't imagine. For them, they're trying to simply stretch out the last week of summer, and not drive each other absolutely insane while camping in New Hampshire's primeval forests. This story is not yet complete.

"The Grim" is my own challenge to myself, to celebrate Mary Shelley's contribution to literature. I set it in my hometown, at a point when the country was experiencing an economic downturn. Perhaps today's woes might inspire your own horror story, but I invite you to read mine. This story is complete.  Less
