A collection of erotic stories about women loving women, and the emphasis is on love as opposed to sex. I find most lesbian stories written by men to be childish and voyeuristic, 95% of it is rubbish. In this anthology we're creating love stories, taking classic love themes and making both the love interests women, just to see how far we can push this concept. The stories have an adult theme, so nothing that involves children is considered. However, you can refer to a childhood (sexual) encounter as long as it's not too graphic and both participants are the same age, use that with caution, please! I'm not opening that door lightly, we do need to be a little more realistic here and acknowledge the fact that teenagers are starting younger and younger. But these are adult stories so ultimately you need to fast forward to the adult world, so keep teenage encounters brief, in flashback mode if necessary.
Your story needs to have a romantic theme, the two characters can be both gay or you can have one of each gay/straight. The focus is on relationship however, how these two women relate to each other, bearing in mind that this is aimed at straight women as well. With that in mind consider your sex scenes carefully, graphic is good, but don't get too graphic that you start turning straight women off, we'll be going through these stories individually and making adjustments. Not everyone will agree with the edits:-)
The projected market is women in their 30s and 40s, both gay and straight so the stories need to be well crafted and honed to perfection. We will be editing and proofing each story and reserve the right to ultimately reject any story that doesn't come up to the standard, we'll be constructive in our criticism though so just write your best, work with our suggestions and we'll see where it all ends up.
