Thanks for the invite. I would be honored to have a poem written for me by you. If you need any help I'd be glad to.
Hi,
This is a very good business to service the needs of those who are not adept in writing poetry. Thanks anyway. I would like to write mine right straight from the heart. It's more meaningful that way. Good luck.

Okay, you're on. I'll be back. I have something coming up over the holidays and would certainly like something done like this in a personal way.
These are all very good questions. This is a business idea that different people gave me.
Know matter what, I will not take any money from anyone until they are completely satisfied with the outcome of the poem itself.
As long as the client gives me information on what they want out of the poem, I will be able to write the poems in whatever format they want.
I will definitely keep the client updated on where I am with the poem. That way if they are unhappy with any of it I will be able to revise it accordingly.
However the client is comfortable receiving the poetry will be fine with me.
This is basically an idea for now. Given the fact that a lot of the people on this site are into poetry, I am curious to what people think about the idea.
I do have relatives that do photography for weddings and special occasions and they have told me that there are always people that are looking for poems to read and that they are willing to pay to have them specifically made for the special occasion.
I have not yet set any prices, that is also something that I would love input on how much people would be willing to pay for a specialized poem.
I would keep the copy write on the poems due to the fact that I am the author of them, however I will not share the poetry with anyone else unless I have the client's permission of course.
The safest way for payment I believe would be a money order, that way the client will have a receipt and I won't have to worry about check's bouncing.
I hope that I was at least somewhat helpful in answering most of your questions. Thank you for your interest in my idea.

If this is a business, you will be expecting to make a profit out of it.
How much are you going to charge for your poems? Will it be a flat rate, or by length or complexity? Will the client have to specify style, rhyming patterns etc?
What will you do if the client isn't happy with the finished poem? Will you show them drafts to get their feedback?
How will you be collecting your fee?
How will you present the poem to the client, email, or hardcopy sent by post?
Aren't you advertising in the wrong place?
What about joining up forces with somebody who produces wedding stationary?
Who retains the copyright on the poem, you or the client?
