The objective of this compendium is to twofold. First, to provide straight men with lesbian wives something to read when they find out - to understand what other men in their situation experience. Second, to reach out to the general population and to amplify the voices of straight men married to gay women.
Motivation for this effort comes in part from the Straight Spouse Network (www.straightspouse.org) and the work of Amity Buxton, author of the book "The Other Side of the Closet" about straight spouses of gay married people dealing with their challenges. Should any monetary gains result from this effort, they will all be donated to the Straight Spouse Network. To protect the privacy of the authors and their families, all men authors will be anonymous as will the people discussed in their writings.
