Eben finds himself alive after such an event.  In lonely despair, he silently hopes to find others.  And he does...by listening to their thoughts.  First he finds Oggy, the fifteen-year-old who can make fire with his mind.  Then Eben leads Oggy to Vanessa, a sixteen-year-old who can transport herself anywhere with a single thought.
Eben is able to lead his friends to a small colony of other people with powers, and he hopes they can reconstruct what they have all lost.
But what none of them know is how far a single individual is willing to go to create his kingdom.  Less
