I thought maybe I had a problem, but when my friends showed similar behavior I thought otherwise.

Throughout high school like most average students curious and inexperienced I got into drinking and fornicating with women among other things. Nothing to far out of the unusual for a pimple popping less than happy high school student.  When I joined the military I immediately felt the resemblance and presence of all the other crazy assholes who were dumb enough to join during a time of war.

The military changed me. It matured me from what I have been through and seen in combat. My mindset changed. Life was short for me. I was going back to Iraq soon so I have to live everyday like it was my last was something I lived by. Outrageous drunken behavior occurred. Many one night stands with different women the alcohol won't let me remember starting taking place. I felt I had to cram it all in before my approaching death that could take place in my next tour in Iraq. And when it was all over.....I was so happy with the party animal I have become, I couldn't shake it. This is the unseen case of my friends and I as well as many marines. The mentality of death looming over our heads caused us to exploit the world we live in for everything it is has to offer through many drunk times and bad behavior towards the civilian population.  Less
