The Golden Wolf
Satire, The Golden Wolf, must use his magical powers and brains to save the tribesmen from a horrible curse...but is it a curse or is Satire being betrayed by a close friend?
GIVE FEEDBACK
Some really, excellent imagery here. The way you say his paws burnt the ground gives this really fantastic mystical imagery which is excellent in this type of story. Keep it up. One thing though: maybe change the name... Sattire sounds like Saphire which makes the reader think blue and also the dictionary defination of satire (it's normally spelt with one t) is:
the use of mocking or ironical humour, especially in literature, to show how foolish or wicked some people are.
Like how some people can be satirical? Maybe need to revise the name a bit.
I love this story though, the imagery is great, maybe a bit rushed as he grows up, go into specifics, mates, behaviour, things wolves do to display dominance, how he earns his place within the pack. Have a read of 'Wolf Brother' by Michelle Paver, she wrote the 'Chronicles of ancient darkness' its all about these tribes and this one guy who can talk to wolves and forms his own wolf pack and stuff, really good read all about magic and stuff. But it's told from a dual narrative and the other narrative is from the perspective of the wolf, I'll lend you them if you like, I've got them all but for research she'd spend nights in wolf enclosures and study them in the wild, so she knows what she's talking about. Maybe a good reference point if you get stuck on developing the characteristics of these animals which, don't get me wrong is a really hard thing to do anyway.
Really like this description, keep at it and keep up the imagery, its really beautiful writing, you should be proud. Think more on how the plot of this can develop, make it as intricate and mystical as the description and imagery. It'll take a lot of energy, be careful you don't get lazy 'cause in a book like this, it'll show. Keep up the energy, and keep up this vivid description, really good work.
