Four children get caught up in an adventure of a lifetime when they spend their summer vacation in Smugglers Cove and discover a network of tunnels that are being used by counterfeiters.

Set in 1950’s Britain, this tale of mystery and intrigue begins with four children aged between 10 and 14 exploring some beachside caves. But before long they are thrust into an adventure as they get trapped by a rising tide, chased by counterfeiters, imprisoned in a deserted manor, and partake in a thrilling boat chase in a desperate attempt to stop the crooks as they try to flee to France.
