The Power Within
this is to show we all have power within us and its nothing to to be afraid of
GIVE FEEDBACK
"Focused mind power is one of the strongest forces on earth." Mark Victor Hansen Power, What a word! According to Dictionary.com, the word “power” can be defined in at least four ways:
* Political or national strength
* Great or marked ability to do or act; strength; might; force
* The possession of control or command over others; authority; ascendancy
* A person or thing that possesses or exercises authority or influence
Personally I like the sound of it but I found most shy away from it as if it is negative or wrong. I have to admit it was intimidating for me probably due to the fact It wasn't in my family's vocabulary. I remember when I first heard of the book entitled 'How to win and influence others' I was put off by what I seen as manipulation, hence wrong , evil doing. I thought how dare people write and teach these things. Now, many years later I can honestly say this may have well been my first lesson to never assume anything. It along with others like it sent a positive message , they taught me as long as we use our power for the good there is nothing to be intimidated by, therefore nothing to fear . Allow me to elaborate; Just because you’re the supervisor doesn’t mean you should take three-hour lunches with your girlfriends three days a week. Just because you are the principal doesn’t mean you are regularly late for staff meetings. Just because you are the parent, that doesn’t mean your teenager shouldn’t play a role in decisions that affect his future. A truly powerful person will use his or her strength to empower others, not make them feel disempowered.Gary Zukav stated “There is no power in fear, or in any of the activities that are generated by fear… There is great power in Love, the human touch, laughter , words, prayer, faith, the list goes on and on. Take the power of the human spirit . With this we have the power to pick ourselves up and try again. Just by using our thoughts we have the ability to literally change our lives! We all have healing power as well. Just by listening and caring for others we are healing their them. We are inheritanly born with strength. As we get older our power gets weakened or clouded over by misconceptions and tested, used along the way leaving us feeling we have little or none left but the truth is all we need to do is tap into it again. to In order to see it more clear we only have to make a conscious choice to push through our struggles and learn from them.It is a misconception in itself to strive for success when in fact the success lies in trying. As we keep trying our strength builds, becoming stronger and stronger in order to handle the next challenge life has in store for us. It is what we do with our power we have been entrusted to that makes all the difference not only in our own lives but the lives of others.
