In a land where strange creatures are normal and hatred is more common than love, a young boy tries his best to be good for his little brother. But the bad side of society calls to him, and when he's in the wrong place at the wrong time, he's suddenly wanted for murder, and the most powerful of the police, the GTS, Greatest Tracking Society, is out to get him. To save his brother and friends from getting stuck in the crossfire of his battle to stay free, he decides that it's best if he leaves...and never comes back.
But an old family friend and his brother won't let that happen, and decide to track him down. Now they're all in danger, and Adrian's beginning to wonder if he should just turn himself in. He knows that if he does that, he'll be executed, but maybe that's better than putting the people he cares about in danger.
So what's a guy to do? The only solution seems to be the group that framed him in the first place. They offer him a chance at redemption, if he kills someone to become one of them. To do that, though, means he has to go to a rich guy's house and kill his daughter before the sun rises. As he is sent there without really knowing what he should do, a strange creature, even by their standards, comes out of the water. A gun is all he has--the gun does nothing.
Now the creature has his scent, and he was spotted by the rich guy at his house. To make matters worse, the rich guy doesn't like him. Now he's got the GTS, the group that framed him, the creature, and the rich guy after him. What's a guy supposed to do?
Is turning himself in to be killed the only option? Or is there a way to prove that he didn't do it?
'The Usual Suspects' is a story of love, friendship, hatred, and the courage to do what's right. I truly hope you enjoy it. Any comments are welcome, because I could use all the help I can get. Thanks.
Now let's get started, shall we?
(P.S. There might be more than one book.)
