Writing one short story a week is our lovely contestants, all listed in the overview! This heated competition between friendly Young Authors will go on until only one is left standing; who will it be?
"The WeeklyZ" is a simple competition that I came up with when I was bored one day. Once a week, every participant must write one short story and submit it to our project with the title as the title [xD]. We will have an index that links to every story for that week.
Here's a quick bit of information to help those of us that aren't sure of the whole posting your submission and what the set-up should be:

"The WeeklyZ" is a simple competition that I came up with when I was bored one day. Once a week, every participant must write one short story and submit it to our project with the title as the title [xD]. We will have an index that links to every story for that week.
Here's a quick bit of information to help those of us that aren't sure of the whole posting your submission and what the set-up should be:
" Right under the overview, there is a big orange and white button that says "Submit a New Article" Click on that and, in the first white box, put the title of your story. In the second white box, post first the week number (ex: Week One, Week Two, Week Three, etc. etc.) and then copy+paste or type your story into the box after hitting enter a few times. Then, just hit submit and.. TADA! It's done ^.^ Once you have that done, please message (PM) me the entry title with a link and week number so I can add it to the Table o' Contents. "
This was, originally, an idea for my school to help motivate my fellow Junior High students, but I needed to do a beta-test with some kids around my age and slightly older, so this is what it resulted in. I gathered my members by forum topic, so here is a reiterration of what the basic rules and additional information is (IF YOU ARE IN THE COMPETITION, PLEASE REREAD THIS. MORE INFORMATION HAS BEEN ADDED):
"
'The WeeklyZ' is a challenge in which all the competitors/test subjects must create at least ONE short story a week. You may make more than that, but please choose your best one to post onto the project once it is created. The stories can be about whatever you want, but they must meet the following requirements:
+ Your story must be under the PG-13 limit.
+ The minimum amount of words is 500, though I expect much more from you.
+ The maximim number of words is 10,000. Get special permission from me to go any farther.
+ You MUST write at least ONE stort story a week and submit it into this forum (after PMing me with the title and week) or else you will be disqualified. Please talk to me about any computer/other problems that you had/have if you wish to bend this rule.
+ To win, you must be the last/only person to make a short story every week
+ The winner will get a custom short story about anything they wish from me (Sorry. There's not many prizes I can give through the internet.... ^.^' )
+ No whining just 'cuz you didn't win.
+ Do Not use a story that you already wrote! You must create the story in that week. If I find that you were lying and that you either copied it from someone else or used one you already wrote, you will be automatically disqualified and not allowed into any other Beta Competitions I post up on WEbook.
+ Have fun!
As you can see, that is a mix of requirements and rules above, but that isn't the point of this competition. The whole reason for me creating "The WeeklyZ" is to give young writers something to challenge/discipline themselves with. It's kinda like the SuWriMo's and NaNoWriMo's on GaiaOnline because it helps you give yourself a goal that you otherwise would not have.
