Creating a Color Poem
Choose a color that will be the basis for your poem, a repetative theme. Try to think of this color in a whole new way, using all your senses. Answer question[s] you like, What does this color truely look like? What does it represent? What emotions does it have? How does it taste or feel? Help us to visualize it in a whole new way.  Don't worry if someone has already used your color, just do it and try your hardest! Take a look at this example.

Grey is the color of my eyes on a rainy day

The shade of shadows when the sun begins to fade

Grey is the color of all things in the dark

Mirrored reflections of a nightmare’s mark

Grey is the color of old photographs

Hiding in the attic, memories like maps

Grey is the color of an aged head

Full of wisdom, a path they once lead

Grey is a color not easily admired

A crayon barely used, quickly retired

Grey is the color of a distant blur

A fateful warning when clouds begin to stir

Grey is the color of my eyes on a rainy day

The shade of life when time begins to fade
