The two fall in love, quickly becoming inseparable, but a dire car accident puts Caitlyn's life on the line. She pulls through and together they struggle to overcome it. Just when things seem to be returning to normal, the law firm where Anthony works is taken hostage by a irate gunman while Caitlyn is visiting. John is the same man from the accident and is intent on revenge for the firm turning down his case. When he learns Caitlyn was the reason his case was turned down things become even worse and he attempts to take Caitlyn with him as he leaves the building. Refusing to lose her again, Anthony takes matters into his own hands and with help from a colleague tackles John and forces him to surrender. Afterwards, Anthony and Caitlyn comfort each other, and Caitlyn realizes how important it is to treasure every day she has with him.
