OVERVIEW

Some questions you may have:

Q: Why should I want your reviews?
A: Go to my profile (http://www.webook.com/member/Mickey2B) and see for yourself if you care!

Q: What will challenges be like?
A: Who knows? Writing prompts, or best usages of a certain element, or maybe even how many times you review others and how well. It all depends. I'm going to try a few where you incorporate certain words. I'll also do a few where you go for a certain feeling or emotion or atmosphere. Some will be about developing a certain character the most. Or about how well you can write a story in so many words (I'll use Microsoft Word to check these submissions). Message me with ideas too, I'll be happy to recieve them!

Q: How many winners will there be?
A: Depends on the challenge and the amount of submissions. I will guess about three for now.

Q: How do I submit?
A: In a comment/review under the challenge. It's just the easiest way. Don't send it in a message. I'll read it, but won't count it. I might encourage you to add it.

Q: Can I be one of the reviewers that will be part of the prize?
A: Sure! I would love help, and this would also allow for more winners and better prizes! However, I will take what you say into consideration, but I'll be the main chooser of winners until you seem dedicated to the task. Once you've done a few, I'll take it more seriously.

Q: How will I know who won?
A: Great question! Both a personal message and a comment in the general project space. This means I would like others not to post there, it will bug me, and people won't see the tips, updates, and winners as well.

Q: How will winners be picked?
A: I will be judging, along with possible guest judges (again, shoot me a message). It will be based on how well you stuck to the original prompt or challenge, how creative it was, and any other stipulations I originally asked for in that submission. However, it will, and I quote, NOT be based on someone saying something mean about yours, or how well I know you, or how much you bribe me. Please only comment to ask questions, offer to judge or review, or report someone. I will not appreciate rude remarks, or any remarks really, on other peoples ideas. And for Christ' sake, PLEASE don't try bribing me!

Q: Are star ratings really going to change anything?
A: Yes, in a way they will. If I get a high star rating on a prompt it means people liked it, so star with that in mind. If people liked it, I'll most likely post something similar. If not, I'll probably try something super new.

Well, another contest is done, and sadly only one person actually entered! Still, it was a good submission! So of course, as promised, I will be reading a chapter of whatever it is CTBell would like me to review!

Other thoughts.
1) Please, if the reason you're not submitting is because none of the prompts interest you, message me. I can add prompts, or twist them, or make them more or less limited.
2) Tell me other reasons you haven't submitted yet! Too busy? Don't know how? Afraid my reviews won't come, or won't be worth it? Consult the overview first, but then message me with questions!
3) Have any questions that you think should be answered in the overview? Tell me, I'll add them. And with that, the new contest begins, the old closes, and we're off!

The one for the family holiday was taken off as people seemed not to like it much. The next winners will be announced the end of March. Please submit! Ask others to submit! And talk to previous winners :)

Announcement!
I may not have been clear in that last post. SOLDER. It is a piece of equipment. So don't write about soldiers! Or maybe just this once you can do either word, whichever is easier for you. But you should probably look a word up or clarify with me in a message if you are confused or think I spelled a word wrong. Hopefully I didn't. Assume I didn't!

Guess what? It's February! That means it's the end of our first competition, and I'm proud to announce the winners! First off, I am sad to report that one person, while creative and using all of the elements was disqualified. Why? A very silly reason; over word limit. So check and make sure you're not going over. Five, ten words, I might get over it. But over double and you're disqualified, though I read the work anyway and it was good. So just a reminder everyone! It's only fair to follow rules.

Next, I am proud to announce two winners, an overall winner and a runner up. The remaining two submissions were so good I couldn't help wanting to see what the authors wrote like regularly. So...

Second Place: Kristy_Mathews! I will be reading any chapter from any project (message me)
First Place: CTBell! I will be reading three chapters of your choice. (message me)

I actually have two challenges posted right now, both running, so the first one is still open to submissions! Also, if you want to recommend something, expect to wait awhile to see it. I'm already storing up challenge ideas in order to not run out, or be slow on posting a new one. This way I just click 'submit' and maybe revise a little if I'm short on time.
