The Ramayana is beyond dating yet contains wisdom and counsel that are very much relevant to the modern world. Each chapter highlights the righteous and the unrighteous choice in action, words and thoughts, for rulers, princes, warriors, ministers as well as sages, in peace and during war. Most significantly it contains words of deep counsel for the common person in  his/ her everyday living.
