in an unforseen emergency situation, what three things would you take with you?

There are two ways to look at this story. My plan is to have a prologue and an epilogue. They will be some sort of backstory regarding a government experiment to test citizen's reactions to a bomb dropping in a random town in midland, usa. They 'drop a bomb' and send the test citizens into an isolated, confined location for a period of time. Their experiment is to observe the reactions of various people based on their mindset and lifestyle.
