The poetry that you find here are important to me, for several reasons. the first is that the highlight a time in my life when I feel that I really grew up. I learned a lot about myself in ways that I never thought possible. I learned what it was to fall out of love, and how you go about picking up the pieces of your broken heart even though you have convinced yourself that it will never be whole again. I learned about lust, and how at times its a wonderful, powerful force, but I also learned that it can burn you real bad if you play with it too carelessly.

I learned not to give your heart, or other things, away too easily, or to the first person who comes along. I learned how to stand on my own two feet again, and discovered things about myself as a person, and how to be a whole person and not just one half of two. I learned how to be happy with myself, various likes and dislikes and that in the end .. you have to be happy with yourself first and foremost.

This small collection also comes with it a very emotionally charges person history, one which I might share with you, the reader, from time to time as it will no doubt provide some context to what you might be reading. Or perhaps they will serve no other purpose than to freeze various moments in time that were important to me.  Less
