OVERVIEW

In my mulitmedia writing class, we are studying the concepts of authorship in today's society with consideration of the advances in technology. Specifically, I am looking into online collaborative writing, which is something WEbooker's take part in every day. I would like to hear the thoughts of the WEbook community and how they feel about posting their writing to the internet. What really happens to the ownership of their ideas? What really happens to the author when there are tons of collaborates putting together a single piece of work? I know how the site defines authors and ownership of work, but what I want people to think about is the theoretical ideas of what happens to the role of author as writing and ideas become publicly shared on the Internet.
